Backflow preventers and autofills

An autofill quietly tops off a pool that's leaking, hiding the problem and running up the water bill. A leaking backflow preventer or autofill valve can waste water on its own. Both are tested as part of every leak inspection.

Air in the lines

Bubbles from the returns, a pump that loses prime, or air in the strainer basket usually point to a suction-side leak. Where air can get in, water can get out when the pump is off.

The equipment pad

Pumps, filters, heaters, valves and unions all develop leaks with age. The pad is checked under pressure and documented with the rest of the system.
